Corrections
How to report an error and what happens to it.
If something here is wrong, we want to know.
Email [email protected] with the page URL, the figure you believe is wrong, and where the correct figure is published. A link to the lender's own page is the fastest route to a fix.
What happens next
A researcher re-reads the source. If the figure is wrong it is corrected and the page records the correction and its date. If the lender has changed its terms since we checked, that is an update rather than a correction, and the date-checked stamp moves. If the lender's own pages contradict each other, we leave the field blank and record the conflict, because publishing one of two conflicting numbers as fact is worse than publishing neither.
If you are a lender
Send the URL on your own site where the correct figure is published. We source from lender disclosures, so a disclosure is what we can act on. We will not remove an accurate figure because it is unflattering, and we will not add one that is not published somewhere we can cite.
